I think it is confusing how we look at love today. As writers, some may say they find their true passions through their words, expressions, stories, blogs, etc. However, as writers, we find our love mostly through experiences, what we have been through, our challenges, and how we face those challenges. My definition of love is” tuff,” or in a formal way, tough or challenging. Without having a "tuff” time or facing the struggling part of love, the love would not be defined as true. How can you expect so much within your writing or an individual, without facing the hardships or challenges that come with them?
When an artist critiques your work, there is no such thing as perfections but more so of imperfections. The hardest thing about love is realizing that sometimes you do not have the continuous passion for it, sometimes you sway away from it, and as writers, we do the same. We procrastinate, lose our focus, and our desires, yet we continue to work, which is the same for love. It is never giving up on something you thought you lost based on the "critiques,” the "imperfections.” Having a passion so deep that even when you lose focus, you always return to it; you never leave it alone. So whenever there is a time that you felt the need to give up, and you did, the love will continuously be there, but it is up to you instead to grasp onto it rather than run from it altogether.
