We get so lost in our thoughts, words, and expressions, but really in the realities of the world, what the world may have us face one day to the next, what the media had portrayed the world to be, what our environment stereotyped us to be, but I think what we are really lost in, is lost in the idea of our placement in this world. Everyone has set goals, why they want to accomplish them, and what they do not want to accomplish, but everyone's circumstances are almost as unpredictable as winning a lottery ticket or being chosen in a raffle. We do not know what life will throw at us, and as writers, we do not know what our words will do for others. We do not know if we are this significant influence or this biggest enemy. We know how much our stories mean to us and what we think, and we only wish someone would appreciate them just as we do.
It is okay to feel lost and not knowing where you fit because even those who know who they are and what to expect do not know their next move. Being lost or feeling as if you are not apart of something is just as unique as being active and apart of anything. You are in this box that seems to be taped shut, but you have control of whether you want to cut that tape from the inside so you can get out.
